The Media Society makes an annual presentation to a person or organisation judged to have made a distinguished contribution to the media. Awards have so far been given to Sir Alistair Cooke, Sir David Attenborough, Ann Leslie, Sir Geoffrey Cox, Michael Parkinson, Gillian Reynolds, John Humphrys, Reuters, Paul Dacre, Charles Wheeler and David Frost.

The Media Society is committed to playing a leading role in vigorous debate about a wide variety of media issues that matter both to its members and to society at large.
